Germany, November 2001 - MoPilot.com, the leading WAP search engine and mobile portal, 
today released a new and exciting gaming experience available to all its members.

Entitled TRiViUM, the game is a general knowledge quiz. However, there are two aspects 
that set it apart from all other WAP games. It is a continuous tournament; with five 
new questions available each day. As well as this, players’ scores are entered into 
a league table with all the other contestants, making it one of the first multiplayer 
games available on the technology.


"I started off asking a few of my friends here trivia questions to test their general 
knowledge. As other people began to join in and have fun, it occurred to me – why not 
make this a regular thing?” says Ian Barrs, who designed the concept behind TRiViUM. 
“The feedback I received gave me confidence to continue. I thought about how much 
MoPilot gave to me and decided it was high time to give a little back”.

Ian then worked with Chris Jenkins, a senior administrator. He and the MoPilot team 
took the concept, and made it into a weekly event held in chat. This was instantly a 
huge success amongst members. Today, the game became an official part of MoPilot, and 
also changed in style. TRiViUM is now a menu option at the portal, and has become a 
static quiz, available any time and updated every day.

Dieter Kneffel, Chief Technology Officer at MoPilot, has played an important part in 
making the new quiz possible. Asked what TRiViUM means for MoPilot, he replied, “We 
appreciate our members commitment. We have an open ear for our members’ needs and 
their feedback is the key to our success. We are fast in reacting to the customers’ 
needs, adding new features and services. This is simply another example.”

In its first few hours of release, over 1000 people played the game. The response 
from users has been excellent. “Even though I’m no good at it, I think it is excellent
 fun! It is an original and refreshing addition to the services available here. I hope
there are more ideas like this in the future” said one long-standing member of the 
site. Incidentally, more releases are in fact planned.

MoPilot offers easy integration in existing portals, a modular concept interface and 
cross-platform availability; WAP, web and SMS. It is available in several languages 
and most importantly because it is independent, it is available to everyone at no charge.
